Metaphor of Meltdown

The last time I entered the political arena was to battle the mis-information of  the 'Free Trade Agreement' in 1987. After that I was done w/ politics and on to traveling and the study of art.

Then came the sub-prime crisis of 2007/2008. I remember when the crisis hit and all I could think was 'sure boys, this is just the tip of the iceberg'. Obama arrived and I hoped change had too. I wept at his inauguration. I even yelled amen when he said he was going to clean up the 'greed' on Wall street. I thought he was the new Jackie Robinson.

Sadly I witnessed the same political pattern emerge with Mr.Obama. Say one thing and do the opposite.

This burned my britches and so began a 2.5 year trip down the rabbit hole. I studied (and still am), everything I could about the economy, the history of money, how it is made, who prints it, the historical role of gold and silver, the stock market, how a bubble develops, and on and on. This culminated with a long drive, all the way down to Phoenix, for a three day seminar on the economy.

After gathering information on the economy I began to identify parallels in Jungian Psychology. Both the 'inflated ego' and the inflated economy end in a depression, tyrants come to power because adults become children by projecting all their own capabilities onto the political leaders of the day, etc… From the examination of this parallel, a unique perspective emerged; I began to view the world economic crisis from a Jungian psychological perspective. Thus the Metaphor of Meltdown was born. I am very proud of this work. The Metaphor of Meltdown offers the tools to arrive at personal solutions to this ongoing collective crisis.

Thank you for taking the time to view my work and please feel free to share or comment.

Cheers dh
